about

Constance Ryland Interiors is a London-focused design studio concentrating on residences, restorations, and luxury rental properties both internationally and in the UK.

The studio was founded by Constance Ryland in 2020, following 16 years designing interiors for Colefax and Fowler, Marriott’s Portfolio of Homes and Airbnb.

Prior to interiors, she worked on design projects for Nike, Gap and Levi Strauss & Co. Design thinking has always been a part of her DNA, whether a hotel in Nice or a Nike shoe. Detail and comfort are essential.

approach

One of Constance’s great strengths is an ability to curate her clients’ taste rather than impose a look. She believes with any room, the people in them are far more important than the content of the room themselves.

What she craves is fewer anonymous homes; aiming for interesting spaces, brimming with personality, character and individual stories. Curious about how a client functions, works, and cooks. Equally important, how a client relaxes, socialises and sleeps.

For Constance, her life force has always been the continual renewal of inspiration; transferring that to clients, watching their layered stories unfold, ultimately aiming to make any dated room smile once again.

sustainability

Constance is a firm believer in interiors that don’t cost the earth. Born into a life long philosophy of “make do” versus buy new, she strives to repurpose a homes existing natural resources wherever possible.

What she calls “conscious comfort”. Not only does that keep costs to a minimum, it respects a clients need to control budgets and a larger community drive to respect the planet.
